Enjoy approx. one hour of leisure time at the mighty Rhine Falls, one of Switzerland's major attractions. Delight in unique views of Europe's biggest waterfalls from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700'000 liters of water per second plunge across a width of 150 meters into the basin below. A beautiful, short stroll on the Belvedere panoramic trail takes you to the viewing platform right above the falls where you feel the spindrift of the rumbling waters. Take an optional boat ride (summer only) close to the falls. Visit the Historama at the patriarchal castle to learn more about the interesting history of this unique place.

Beautiful trip

It was very easy to walk to and from the meeting place from our downtown hotel. The bus was very clean and well appointed. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke three languages- accommodating all language preferences in board. The ride was very scenic. The site of Rhine Falls was beautiful and definitely worth seeing. The castle at the head of the falls was also very interesting. The only criticism I can give is that the amount of time at the falls was not enough. By the time we got back from the boat ride we only had 20 minutes to explore the grounds and shops before having to get back on the bus. The time spent at the falls should definitely be longer.

Very nice experience. Travel by bus was good and the tour guide was excellent and very kind. Waterfalls, scenery, boat ride were great.

Worth it for a half day trip

Our guide Vladimir was great! Extremely knowledgeable. The group didn’t spend much time waiting in line and the falls were beautiful. Lots of steps but the water makes it feel cool on a warm day. The optional boat ride is also inexpensive and worth the views!

Way to get to the falls

This tour offers a way to get to the falls from Zurich with a commentary along the way. We had ample time at the falls for pictures since we chose not to do the boat tour. You can get very close to the falls for pictures without doing the boat tour and since we have done the boat at Niagara Falls this would be underwhelming. The tour guide spent a lot of time upselling the boat and the directions he was giving us at the falls couldn't be heard if you weren't next to him.
